IP UKRAINE NOW 2023

The second day of the IP UKRAINE NOW 2023 forum, organized by the Ukrainian Bar Association, occurred on November 10.

Victoria Sopilnyak, partner of Doubinsky & Osharova moderated the second session on IP and pharma. The focus of the panel was directed to the discussion of the most relevant and pressing issues that arise for stakeholders, namely:

✔️ discussion of unresolved issues faced by representatives of pharmaceutical companies in the context of intellectual property rights protection or their implementation;

✔️ discussion of legislative provisions that are debatable and continue to be valid in the legislation of Ukraine;

✔️ Bolar exception - what it is now and what it can be in the future in Ukraine;

✔️ judicial practice, which was formed at that time, and its correspondence to today's realities;

✔️ Supplementary protection certificates (SPC) for inventions.

The discussion was attended by:

Iryna Bulhakova, judge of the Commercial Court of Cassation of the Supreme Court;

Lyudmyla Zaporozhets, Head of the Intellectual Property Rights Enforcement Division of the Intellectual Property Rights Protection Department of the Ukrainian National Office for Intellectual Property and Innovations (IP office);

Dmytro Taranchuk, Chief Legal Officer, Farmak JSC.
