On October 4, a significant event in the IP industry took place - "IP Practice: a Forum that has never existed", organized by the National Association of Patent Attorneys of Ukraine.
Michael Doubinsky, managing partner at Doubinsky & Osharova took part in the third session of the forum, devoted to the issues of patenting in Ukraine and the world. In his speech on the topic "Second medical use patentability", he discussed in detail the current state of legal protection in certain technology areas in the form of an invention and a utility model.
During his speech, Michael drew attention to problematic issues that cause lively discussions in the professional community. He also analyzed the European Patent Office's practice and announced the proposals of NAPA members to improve legal approaches in the patent field.
