On October 11 -16 October, 2021m at the invitation of the USAID Legal Reform Program, Michael Doubinsky, Managing Partner of Doubinsky & Osharova, as an international expert, gave a series of trainings for employees of the Intellectual Property Agency of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Agency's regional centers and judges of economic courts in Uzbekistan.
The purpose of the trainings was to increase the level of knowledge and skills of experts and judges, as well as to further improve the systems for the protection of intellectual property rights and the resolution of disputes in this sphere in Uzbekistan.
Without exaggeration, Michael Doubinsky covered the full range of issues related to the protection of IP rights during 6 days of training - from the preparation of IP objects for registration - to the protection of infringed rights in the court, including the development of IP protection strategy, audit of IP objects in the enterprise, IP objects management, administrative and criminal liability, protection of IP rights at the customs border, protection against unfair competition, fight against counterfeiting, protection against infringement of IP rights on the Internet, etc.
Participants and organizers of the trainings praised the expert's presentations and expressed hope for further cooperation in this area.
