The event was held on January 20, 2022 at the initiative of the Committee on Intellectual Property, acting as part of the Ukrainian National Bar Association together with the Research Institute of Intellectual Property of the National Academy of Law Sciences of Ukraine and the National Association of Patent Attorneys of Ukraine.
Among the speakers were Viktor Moskalenko, co-author of the bill, retired deputy chairman of the Supreme Economic Court of Ukraine, people's deputies Sergei Ionushas and Taras Tarasenko, well-known experts in the field of intellectual property.
The participants of the round table analyzed the draft law, expressed warnings regarding the jurisdiction of the court, as well as provided suggestions for improving the provisions of the draft law. According to the experts’ opinion, the draft law should be considered by Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine as soon as possible.
Draft laws on amendments to some legislative acts of Ukraine on strengthening the protection of intellectual property rights #6464 and 6464-1. were also analyzed by the participants of the event.
