On November 5, Olga Sopilnyak, attorney-at-law and patent attorney at Doubinsky & Osharova, spoke as a lecturer at the webinar “Patenting in Ukraine: From Idea to Legal Protection” held as part of the “Intellectual Property” course organised by Business Consulting Academy.
During the webinar, Olga discussed:
- what patents are and which objects they actually protect;
- who can be an inventor and a patent owner;
- how to obtain a patent in Ukraine — from applying to receiving a protection document;
- infringement of invention rights and available protection mechanisms;
- patents as assets and effective tools for business development.
She also paid special attention to the analysis of court practice in the field of patent law, highlighting the most relevant cases that shape legal application in Ukraine.
