In recent years, Ukrainian patent legislation has undergone significant changes. Among the main innovations are the Ukrainian version of the "Bolar exception", the introduction of supplementary protection certificates (SPC), which should not be confused with the extended patents (PTE), as well as the adoption of the Law of Ukraine "On Protection of Intellectual Property Interests of Persons during the Martial Law Imposed in Connection with the Armed Aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine" dated 01.04.2022 No. 2174-IX.
