The latest issue of Liga Zakon has published an article by Valeriya Sokolova, Attorney at Doubinsky & Osharova, devoted to one of the most pressing issues of our time - the use of artificial intelligence in the context of copyright law.
In her article, Valeriya analyses:
- whether AI can be recognised as the author of a work;
- when AI-generated content may qualify for legal protection;
- whether training AI on copyrighted works without the authors’ consent constitutes copyright infringement;
- how judicial practice is developing in the EU, the United States, and other jurisdictions;
- why transparency and labelling of AI-generated content are becoming mandatory.
The article is based on current case law and legislative initiatives and will be of interest to both legal professionals and businesses that already use or plan to implement AI-driven solutions.
