The VII International Forum on Intellectual Property (IPF - 2020)

On November 25, 2020, one of the most significant events in the field of intellectual property in Ukraine took place - the VII International Forum on Intellectual Property (IPF - 2020).

Michael Doubinsky, Managing Partner of Doubinsky & Osharova, moderated Session 1, which was devoted to discussion of Ukraine's place on the IP map of the world.

The idea of the session was to present a 360° overview of the situation in the field of protection of intellectual property rights in Ukraine:

  • WIPO Global Innovation Index - why Ukraine is exactly where it is: a Geneva perspective?
  • The EU viewpoint on IPR: a Brussels perspective;
  • Special 301 Report and its impact on our country: a Washington perspective;
  • How do foreign partners and investors assess the state of IP: an inside look;
  • Ukraine from the perspective of global manufacturers: a view from the outside

The speakers of the session were the specialists of the highest level:

Sacha Wunsch-Vincent, Head of Section, Economics and Statistics Division, co-editor of The Global Innovation Index (GII) at the World Intellectual Property Organization;

Tamas Kiraly, Policy Officer for IPR, Directorate General for Trade, European Commission;

Lidiia Levitska, IPR Senior Policy Officer, American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine;

Olga Lukyanova, Head of Legal & Compliance, Henkel Ukraine
