We are delighted to share wonderful news: four representatives of Doubinsky & Osharova have been appointed to the International Trademark Association (INTA) committees for the 2026–2027 term.
Partner Anton Koval has been reappointed to the Famous and Well-Known Marks Committee, which focuses on monitoring and analyzing international developments in treaties, case law, legislation, and regulations, as well as formulating recommendations on the protection of famous and well-known trademarks.
Attorney-at-Law Olga Sopilnyak has joined the Brands and Sustainability Committee. This committee is dedicated to creating a better society through brands by reviewing ESG legislation and regulation, researching the economic and legal connection between brands, brand value and IP on the one hand and ESG principles on the other.
Senior Associate Natia Mchedlishvili has been elected to the Brand Restrictions Committee, which advocates for brand owners’ right to use their trademarks and related rights, which are threatened by various governments’ attempts to prohibit, misappropriate, or significantly restrict them although applied on lawful products and services.
Attorney-at-Law Valeria Sokolova has become a member of the International Amicus Committee (IAC), which provides expertise concerning trademark and other intellectual property-related laws to courts and trademark offices around the world through the submission of amicus curiae (“friend of the court”) briefs or similar filings.
Warmly congratulate our colleagues on this recognition and wish them every success in their work within INTA’s international committees!
