On February 1, 2023, a weekly online conference "Ask NAPA" was held at the initiative of the National Association of Patent Attorneys of Ukraine (NAPA). Anton Koval, partner of Doubinsky & Osharova was one of the speakers of the conference.
In his speech, Anton Koval emphasized the importance of the stage of enforcement of court decisions as a general result of the work of all patent attorneys and lawyers, he also shared his own experience on the peculiarities of enforcement of court decisions in intellectual property cases.
He focused the audience's attention on the types of enforcement of court decisions: voluntary and compulsory. He outlined in detail all the stages and advantages of each type of enforcement of a court decision and supported his speech with vivid examples from his own practice.
Anton paid special attention to the peculiarities of enforcement of court decisions in the State Customs Service of Ukraine, clearly defining the sequence of actions necessary for the quick and effective implementation of the court decision by the State Customs Service on a voluntary basis.
In conclusion of his speech, Anton recommended giving preference to voluntary enforcement, and only if such execution is impossible to apply the compulsory procedure for the enforcement of court decisions.
